My grandparents raised my mother to be the perfect housewife. Women were told their job was to make sure the house was clean, food ready, and the children take care of. They were old fashioned  That changed as new times came around. My parent’s manage pretty well all finances together, for the house chores that’s my mom job as for the yard work my dad is in charge, my family is both modern and traditional family.

Every morning I wake up to the smell of breakfast, for my mother prepares breakfast before anyone is awake. After were all done eating mother starts to clean the kitchen, and washes the dishes. When mother is done cleaning, she starts to do the laundry, when she sees too much dirty clothes. Dinner time comes, as mom prepares dinner we sit and watch television. It sometimes looks as if mom cleans all day long with no rest. If we get sick mom takes us to the doctor. Night comes around and mom yells at me “it’s time to go to bed” even though I think it’s too early to do so. I Am very much grateful for all my mom does for me and our family.

The smell of fresh coffee in the morning is a wake up call, so my dad waits for us all to wake up. He begins opening the garage to finish his work from the previous days. My dad does  the yard and the trimming of the trees. Father never stops working, either fixing the cars or repairing what’s been broken. When I It may seem as though my dad doesn’t do a lot, but he is constantly working for our sake. Working on the house is what he calls making improvements. Everyday is a work day without pay for my dad and that’s how it is for half a year when his seasonal job stops. My dad is very kind and he always tells us to become someone better and to work hard for our dreams.

My parents work for the same company different positions and pay. My dad is the manager for one section and my mom is the supervisor for another section. My dad makes more money, since he works longer hours than my mom. I always see it as if they both work the same amount of time because my mom prepares breakfast and lunch for my dad everyday when she’s not working. Both my parents work different schedules, and that allows them to take turns in taking care of my brother. It’s easy for them to manage the income they make, for they both take care of the finances.

Even as the time changed we were still raised to have respect and kindness to those that need it the most. My mom does a lot more than everybody else, but I believe that there are just some things that are meant to be done by mom only. Me and my sister are very close that we can tell when my mom needs the extra help with chores. Eventually we help mom finished what’s left of the chores to take a little of the burden of her shoulders. Overall, my family helps one another and we appreciate what it’s been done. We all do the same chores around the house, and we all help each other out.
